I am a college educated individual seeking a career change in meat production. I have spent most of my work experience so far working with students and persons with special needs. As I am starting a family, my perspectives and goals have changed, specifically making sure my family has the best food possible. I am interested in livestock and wildlife and their part of the ecosystem and dietary needs. I have worked with food cooking in group homes, and regularly cooking meals for my family. I want to be part of the procedure of processing and packing meat, as well differentiating and recognizing the cuts of an animal. I want to learn as much about this process and the animals I will work with as I can. I currently work in food production at a grocery store bakery, but am seeking a shift that would be more relevant to my interests and families diet.
